🌿 Wool Artistry Care Guide: Nurturing Your Handcrafted Piece
Every creation at Wool Artistry is meticulously sculpted by hand using natural, high-quality wool fibers. Because each piece takes hours of gentle needle-work to come to life, it requires a little mindfulness to keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
To ensure your new handcrafted companion lasts a lifetime, please follow these simple care instructions:
✨ 1. For Display, Not for Play While they look incredibly soft and cuddly, needle-felted sculptures are delicate art pieces. They are not designed to be handled constantly and are not suitable as toys for young children.
🐾 2. Keep Away from Pets (Important!) Cats and dogs are naturally drawn to the scent of real wool. To them, it smells like nature! Please make sure to display your wool art high up or inside a glass dome, safely out of reach of curious furry friends.
☀️ 3. Finding the Perfect Spot Wool is a natural fiber that breathes. Keep your piece in a dry environment and avoid displaying it in direct, harsh sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent the natural colors from fading.
💧 4. Dusting & Cleaning (Strictly No Water) Never wash or submerge your wool art in water, as this will ruin the shape and felted texture. To remove everyday dust, you can:
-
Gently blow the dust away using a hairdryer on the cool, lowest setting.
-
Lightly brush the surface with a clean, soft-bristled makeup brush.
-
Use a piece of sticky tape to very lightly dab the surface to pick up dust.
✂️ 5. Managing the "Fuzzies" Over time, changes in humidity or occasional handling might cause some loose fibers to surface, making the piece look a little fuzzy. Please never pull the fibers! Pulling will unravel the sculpture. Instead, simply use a pair of small, sharp scissors to gently snip away the stray hairs, and it will look as good as new.
