FAQ
📜 WoolArtistry FAQ: Adoptions & Care
Below are answers to common questions about our needle-felted companions, the "Lucky Drop" experience, and care instructions. (Shipping and Return policies are detailed separately).
✨ The "Lucky Drop" & Craftsmanship
Q: How does the "Lucky Drop" work? What exactly will I receive? A: Your adoption includes two main sculpted companions, which will be digitally revealed to you immediately after your payment is completed. In addition, as a token of our appreciation, every order includes a complimentary Secret Gift Collection (valued at over $50). This secret gift may consist of one or multiple artisan items. To preserve the ultimate unboxing magic, the secret gift(s) will not be revealed online and can only be discovered when you physically open your package.
Q: Are the needle-felted sculptures exactly as pictured? A: Since every piece is shaped entirely by hand from natural wool, slight variations will happen. Your sculpted companions will match the design, size, and spirit of the photos. However, tiny differences in facial expressions or fiber texture are just part of the handmade process. You are adopting a true, one-of-a-kind original.
Q: What materials are used for the companions and the secret gift? A: We guarantee that your two main sculpted companions are crafted from 100% premium Merino wool. As for the complimentary Secret Gift(s) and packaging (such as the wool bag), they are crafted from a variety of carefully selected high-quality materials—which may or may not include Merino wool—depending on the specific surprise you receive.
Q: Are wool-felted animals safe for pets and kids? A: No. They are delicate, collectible art pieces, not toys. Please keep them strictly out of reach of children and pets. Cats and dogs are especially drawn to the natural smell of real wool and can easily tear a piece apart.
Q: Do you take custom needle felting orders? A: Yes, but our custom slots are highly limited. Needle felting is a slow process, so we only open commission spots a few times a year. These slots are exclusively offered to our email subscribers. If you want a bespoke piece, please join our newsletter so you don't miss the private invites.
💧 Water & Wool: Care Instructions
Because we offer both display art and bath essentials, it's important to know how water affects different pieces.
Q: Can I clean my needle-felted display sculpture with a damp cloth? A: No. Please keep your sculptural companions strictly away from water. Moisture can distort the shape and ruin the felted texture. To remove everyday dust, simply use a dry, soft-bristled makeup brush or a hairdryer on the cool, lowest setting.
Q: What if my display sculpture accidentally gets wet? A: Do not rub or squeeze it. Gently blot the wet spot with a clean, dry paper towel to absorb the moisture. Leave it in a well-ventilated area to air dry completely. Never use a hot hairdryer, as the combination of heat and water will permanently shrink and deform the wool.
Q: If the sculptures can't get wet, why does the felted soap go in the shower? A: Great question! Our felted soaps are a completely different functional item. They are specifically made to be used with water. The wool casing acts as a built-in washcloth. The water and friction actually help the wool shrink and wrap tighter around the soap as the bar slowly dissolves inside.
Q: Will the wet felted soap get moldy in my bathroom? A: Wool is naturally antimicrobial and breathes very well, but it does need proper airflow to dry out between uses. Always place your felted soap on a well-draining soap dish or a wire rack after your shower. Never leave it sitting in a puddle of water.
Q: What happens to the wool when the soap inside is completely gone? A: Once the soap is used up, you will be left with a tiny, hollow wool pouch. You can continue using this pad as a reusable, gentle exfoliating scrubby for your skin. Since our wool is 100% natural, you can also simply toss it into your compost bin when you are done with it.
